Myself, my wife, son and grandsons decided to go bowling.
We hadn't been for a long while ,maybe 12/18 months.
As we went in there were lots of mainly youths. Our first impression was are we in the UK.?
We felt very uncomfortable.
We were approached by a very drunk man, although he wasn't aggressive in any way.
We had a good game but felt very uneasy and we were constantly aware of the clouds of foreign youth around us.
Needless to say we we won't be going there again.
One other thing. There was a lot of what looked like renovation work so there wasn't any seating.

Do not recommend this place at all. Had a party here paid for VIP package which cost a lot. Got there they tried to charge me for squash and nachos then the main course. they wouldn’t give the kids the medal included in package and tried to say the kids had to eat cold food because they were running behind which made us late on the lanes. Staff were Very unprofessional. We Cleaned the station before leaving and 3 members of staff stood with arms crossed and 1 said ‘if she wants to do it let her because I cannot be a*sed. Paid VIP party bundle and it was an absolute shambles. Staff were rude and the whole thing was a disaster from arrival. Ruined the party. I do NOT recommend this place at all.

It's a bit tatty. Its an escape you don't need to see a building site.

Been going here for years but never again,currently looks like a building site.Nearly impossible to get a drink as no bar staff on and vending machines empty.Workmen drilling,banging all the time we was there.Drills,paint tubs and screws all over the floor to trip over.A visually impaired man with an assistant dog nearly tripped over one of the drills put in a walkway made to go around the bomb site,sorry building site.Worst bowling alley at the minute and still chatrging full price and no mention of this when booking online.Obvoiusly no atmosphere as no music just banging and work noise.

Spent £65 on two games of bowling, so my 4 year old son could try it for the first time. In-between rounds, we decided to get drinks from the bar. Despite numerous staff floundering around behind the bar doing nothing of significance, it took ages to get served, despite there only being me and one other person waiting.
After eventually getting back to our lane, drinks in hand, some spotty faced, greasy haired child worker told us we had to hurry up with our game! Are you joking!
We spent £65 on bowling and more on the arcades and were surprised how low the standards of service you can still recieve in 2025. I'd suggest booking elsewhere. Not angry at you Hollywood Bowl.... just very disappointed

Great Bowling experience. I prebooked online, meaning my lane was set up ready (with bumpers and names), so there was no messing about sorting that out. The lanes are clean and tidy. I do think the best time to book is when they have deals on certain days.
I also went to the arcades with my son. It was great fun, but what you pay into the machines compared to what you can spend your tickets on just feels like an absolute waste of money. Really disappointed with the choice of prizes
